Fairies, wands, wings, crowns. No, we are not talking about your secret closet. It’s the stuff Kate Landers puts in her bag of tricks as she plans your kids’ parties.  

Not just any party: Kate Landers Events, LLC, can make your daughter feel like Madeline in Paris or recreate a scene from Star Wars in your living room that will make your son the envy of the neighborhood.

“I want the child to feel they are that character or that they are in that storybook when they are at the party,” Kate says.

Kate got the party planning bug when she was only 10. But it was after planning her own wedding (which was featured in the Southern California edition of The Knot magazine), as well as her 30^th birthday--- after which she received many requests to coordinate other soirees---she started wondering if this could be more than just a fun hobby.

In October of 2009 she launched her business and is now planning classic parties for children full time. Her vintage style, creative flair, and attention to detail are what truly distinguish her services.

From the  invitations to designing the look of the cake to the tableware and birthday attire, Kate does it all. If a party calls for an item that she can not find, she will make it. She also sells products on her online Shoppe (in case you need a pair of fairy wings).

But, she says:  “It’s not about my products, it’s about getting it perfect. If we can’t find it, I will have it custom made.”

No two parties are alike, says Kate, who is based in Needham, but spends a good portion of her summers boating in Hingham. As a result, she is looking to expand her business on the South Shore.

Her party planning services range in price depending upon the client’s budget, and if she will just be planning and designing the event, or actually remaining on-site during the party to help bring the theme to life.

For Kate, who loves what she does, her business is about creating magical moments and memories for the kids.
