Pub Crawl
Eli's Pub at the Barker Tavern in Scituate
Once upon a time, four lovely South Shore ladies (Tracy, Steph, Jada, and Lisa), decided they needed to escape for a day. Specifically, a Sunday. They found the perfect hiding place in an alcove at Eli's Pub. Who would ever venture to look for them there? And, being so close to the water, no cell tower to track them down via the airwaves.
The girls started with a flirtini martini. Colin, the bartender and hero of today's story, served drinks up with an extra special dash of champagne poured expertly over a spoon to make sure the bubbles went straight to their heads. Flirting and laughing a bit too loud followed. Colin didn't seem to care. He just knew it was time feed the femme fatales
Baked artichoke and spinach dip with parmesan pita chips; Maryland crab cake with tomato carpaccio and wasabi drizzle; A big-ass Barker cheeseburger with crispy potato frites; Grilled marinated steak salad; and the Barker Tavern Signature Dish: Swordfish-this one served Cajun style, and, oh, so spicy!
A glass of wine (or two) later, and the ladies had successfully moved from reality into "La La Land".
They can't wait to return. To be continued.....
