Welcome to South Shore Woman! Thank Cod its summer!

How ‘bout a little fishing expedition? Try out any of the charter boats sitting in slips at Scituate Harbor or the surrounding areas. The Captains would love a boatload of ladies...

Don’t feel like fishing? Okay, then, a hike it is. And, have we got something for you! A new book-- hot off the presses-- identifies 50 hikes in and around the area. We talked with author Frank Werny for more information on where to go when we need to ‘just get lost’ (and still find our way home).

...Wait, there’s more! We’ve got so much to tell you about this month. Who likes wine? Umm, we do! And since June is party time (and you can’t show up empty handed) bring an affordable yet sophisticated bottle (we recommend JJ chardonnay—from France), and put some finishing touches on it in the form of a tag—that We Love!

If you don’t feel like giving wine, and would rather just go out and drink it, how about a little escape at Eli's Pub at The Barker Tavern in Scituate? We recently took a little Sunday afternoon fieldtrip there. Too fun!

In Wink South we are highlighting Ashley Haseotes, founder of One Mission, a new organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Our 20-something, Jamie Wilson, writes about men…and the lack thereof (good ones, that is). Deep South correspondent, Laura Bishop, reminds us of how much style and taste we have (no bows or flouncy dresses required). While our newest columnist, life coach Casey Kerr, explains what ‘paralysis by analysis’ is. Don’t think too much, girlfriend.

Thanks again for checking back in. We hope you enjoy the June edition!

Cheers!
Tracy and Steph
