The Spring Celebration Issue
We are celebrating Spring because, it’s about time!!!
Welcome to South Shore Woman where we are celebrating Spring because it's about time!!!
We are waving good-bye to ice and snow and hello to sunshine and warmer weather. It's also that time of the year to get out and start moving. No more couch potato for you, young lady. We recommend you go out and run. Or, better yet, take a nice long walk. Need a little more motivation? Join local author Claire Cook's Facebook group, The Wildwater Walking Club. Her new book, of the same name, debuts in May. In the meantime, she wants you to get involved and share your walking stories.
Speaking of local authors, SSW caught up with Marshfield's Amy MacKinnon who's first novel Tethered has been getting rave reviews all over the world. Amy is bright, beautiful, and one of us--a South Shore Woman. You can read more about her in this month's Wink South Signature story.
Also in Wink South webzine this month, our fashion consultant Kathleen Sullivan introduces us to the hottest spring/summer trend-The Maxi Dress! Erin Heffernan's latest Shutter to Think column stretches the boundaries of picture taking (and sweaters). Jenna has some down-to-earth advice for our tweeners who are struggling with school.
And, this month, we introduce you to a new writer! Welcome, Jamie Wilson, our twenty-something contributor who reminds us what it's like to be young, free, educated...and boomeranging back home after four years of college.
Finally, chef Perrin's latest concoction is a Caribbean chutney/sauce that will spice up fish, chicken, pork, or pasta!
Thanks for checking back in with us. We hope you enjoy all of our April and May articles.
Cheers!
